Upcoming Events
Faculty Development Day. No classes are scheduled on Wednesday, March 4. Laboratory sessions may be held at the discretion of the instructor. Grizzly Games.
Dean’s Digital Cafe on March 5, 4 – 5 p.m.: Sophia Domokos, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Physics, will lead a conversation titled, “A Black Hole Inside the Atom? A Discussion of the Concept of “Duality” in Theoretical Physics, and How It Structures Our Understanding of the World Around Us,”

Study Abroad Information Session: Learn about an exciting short-term study abroad opportunity this summer in China! Join us via Zoom on March 5 at 1 p.m. for more information.
Spring 2026 Recess: No classes are scheduled on March 14 – 22. Administrative offices are closed on March 20.
New York Tech Whole Health Community Datathon: Are you interested in public health, policy design, and analytics? Would you like to collaborate with 9,000 voices from the five boroughs to uncover insights and create civic impact using New York City data related to community health and equity? Attend the DATATHON on Friday, March 27, at the New York City campus.
New York Tech at Yankee Stadium, May 2, 1:35 p.m.: All New York Tech community, friends, family, and loved ones are welcome to join us for a wonderful Saturday at Yankee Stadium with the Baltimore Orioles vs. New York Yankees. The first 150 tickets purchased will receive a signature New York Yankee cap with the Tech Bear logo!
Academic Deadlines, Support, and Financial Aid
Registration for cycle D is ongoing. The last day to enroll is March 31.
Register for classes in three steps:
- Step 1: Connect with your academic advisor to choose courses and stay on track for graduation.
- Step 2: Clear any holds and complete your To Do items in Student Service HUB.
- Step 3: Build your class schedule in the Schedule Planner in Student Service HUB. Make sure to review the campus, session (class start and end dates), and instruction mode for each class. Import the class schedule to your shopping cart and register for classes.
Your academic advisor is here to help you make informed decisions about your next steps. Advising for summer and fall 2026 starts on Monday, March 2. This is the perfect time to review your degree requirements, explore electives, and build a schedule that keeps you on track for graduation.
Current and new students can register for summer courses starting April 1. No enrollment appointment is required for summer registration.
Current students can register for fall courses starting April 1 by enrollment appointment only. Watch for an email from the Office of the Registrar letting you know when you can look up your appointment date in the Student Service HUB. Beginning April 9, no appointment is required. Register early for the widest selection of courses.
Spring 2026
- The add/drop period dates:
- Cycle D classes March 25 – 31.
- The withdrawal period dates:
- Spring semester classes February 3 – May 7.
- Cycle D classes April 1 – May 14.
Withdrawing from a class will result in a grade of W on your transcript. A withdrawal may affect your financial aid eligibility, immigration status (if applicable), and progress toward graduation. In some cases, your overall education cost may increase due to extended enrollment or loss of aid.
It is strongly recommended that you consult the following offices before making any withdrawal decisions:
Are you graduating this May or August 2026? If yes, learn more information about:
- Applying to be a student speaker or national anthem singer at the 2026 commencement ceremony. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 6, at 11:59 p.m. (ET).
- Ordering your cap and gown for the 2026 commencement ceremony. The deadline to order is Friday, April 3, at 11:59 p.m. (ET)
The New York Tech Access and Belonging Ambassador Program provides opportunities for students to take an active role in educational, cultural, social, and leadership opportunities for students on campus as it pertains to multiculturalism, equity, belonging, and social justice. Students in the role will work closely with the assistant dean of Access and Belonging. The overall goal of the program is to promote the genuine celebration of differences and promote multicultural awareness that assists with engaging across cultures and in everyday settings. Belonging Ambassadors assist with facilitating and implementing various aspects of cultural programs, educational workshops, and leadership development opportunities throughout the school year. In addition to improving self-confidence, communication skills, and leadership abilities, Ambassadors are some of the best-informed students who become part of a close-knit, diverse, and dynamic group.
Counseling and Wellness is recruiting for the fall 2026/spring 2027 cohort of the Peer Health Educator program! A Peer Health Educator (PHE) is a student leader who supports the mental health and wellness of the campus community through connection and advocacy. Throughout the academic year, PHEs collaborate with each other to develop programming, host outreach events, connect students to campus services, and attend trainings.

Apply for free bus passes through New York Tech’s partnership with the Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE) bus program to help subsidize your commuting costs. The NICE bus system provides transportation on Long Island. Eligible students may receive one set of 10 bus passes per semester. Lost passes are not replaceable.
We have recently published updated information regarding SEVIS check-in, international travel, and U.S. reentry, Optical Practical Training (OPT), and I-20 extensions. We will continue to keep you apprised of any changes in policies and processes.
Gain an academic edge by taking advantage of free academic coursework tutoring or general skill-building support (time management, study skills, and test taking). In-person and online tutoring appointments are available.
- Review any Holds and To Do list items in the Student Service HUB to avoid delays in processing aid or impacts on enrollment.
- Enroll in the Tuition Payment Plan.
- Tuition for spring is now due.
- The 2026 – 2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available at studentaid.gov. File early to maximize your aid eligibility. You will need to create an FSA ID and use our federal school code 002782.
- File the 2025 – 2026 FAFSA online at studentaid.gov to receive financial aid, including any scholarship offers you received. The 2025–2026 FAFSA is required for the spring 2026 semester.
- Apply for the NYS Tuition Assistance Program. Undergraduate students who are New York State residents are encouraged to apply for the NYS Tuition Assistance Program at hesc.ny.gov. You will need to create a user ID and PIN. Our TAP school code is 2120. The TAP application is currently available for the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 award years.
Is there a civic or community issue that you want to solve?
Consultants for the Public Good has received a grant that can provide funding for student-led service initiatives that are transformational and impactful to the community. Grab your fellow New York Tech peers or even your campus club and get to brainstorming!
Additionally, if you are already participating in a volunteer initiative that requires travel, you can apply for funding to aid in travel for access to that opportunity.

Update Your Contact Information
It is important to review and update your contact information, so we can quickly inform you of campus emergencies, closings, and other important updates. Campus Safety Services Quick Links may also be a helpful resource for your campus experience.
Long Island campus: In addition to quiet study areas available in the campus libraries, students may reserve a study room in Anna Rubin Hall or Field House at the Long Island campus.
New York City campus: The third floor of the Library has carrels for quiet study, and the new Learning Center location will also be available for quiet study when programming permits. Students can reserve a single use study room and the podcasting/media room located in this area. The IT open lab is also available as a study space.
The Manhattan Library now offers a dedicated media creation space designed for recording podcasts, screen captures, and live streams. This workstation is equipped with popular software including Audacity, Discord, OBS, and StreamLabs, making it easy to produce high-quality audio and video content. If you’re looking for a quiet, professional environment to bring your creative projects to life, stop by and explore the new setup.
The Manhattan Library is also proud to introduce a new Sensory Room, created to support relaxation and wellness. The space includes a bean bag chair, puzzles, coloring books, medication reminder stickers, and other calming resources to help you recharge when academic stress feels overwhelming. The Sensory Room is located on the third floor at 1855 Broadway—stop by and check it out.
At the Long Island campus Salten Library, students can take advantage of a dedicated Learning Glass space to create engaging presentation videos. Learning Glass is an innovative tool that allows you to write notes on a lightboard while facing the viewer, making it ideal for recording lectures or practicing presentation skills. Visit the Salten Library to try it out and enhance your next presentation.
