The Office of Continuing Medical Education at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) works with its departments and academic health centers to deliver a variety of educational activities for practicing physicians and allied health professionals. NYITCOM is dedicated to offering opportunities that help physicians enhance their skills and stay up to date on the latest medical advancements to provide high-quality patient care.

The Office of Continuing Medical Education is committed to ensuring that all sponsored activities are balanced, independent, objective, and scientifically rigorous. We strive to address the educational needs of physicians, educators, and healthcare professionals, enhancing their skills and knowledge to close professional practice gaps.
Our Purpose
- Assist with enhancing health outcomes and patient care through evidence-based educational activities.
- Advance physicians’ skills as clinicians, educators, and researchers.
- Support physicians in earning credits to meet CME requirements from hospitals, boards, and other entities, thereby improving competence, performance, and patient outcomes.
- Foster the discovery and application of new knowledge in clinical practice by utilizing needs assessments and identifying professional educational gaps.
- Collaborate with relevant organizations to implement CME activities effectively.
