Wednesday, March 18: NYC Campus Reopens / 1855 Broadway Remains Closed

Due to infrastructure work, 1855 Broadway will remain closed on Wednesday, March 18. Employees at 1855 Broadway should continue to work remotely. All other buildings on the New York City campus will be open with full services. We will update information as soon as it becomes available.

Ferrara Center For Patient Safety and Clinical Simulation

The Ferrara Center For Patient Safety and Clinical Simulation provides learners with realistic clinical experiences to learn, practice, and assess their skills while receiving real-time feedback in a safe environment.

  • 16 fully equipped patient exam rooms
  •  9-bed emergency room
  •  2 trauma rooms
  •  1 pre-briefing room
  •  3 multipurpose rooms
  •  10 high-fidelity mannequins to simulate patient conditions for life saving treatment and skills practice. 3 adult CAE mannequins, 1 adult Gaumard trauma mannequin, 2 five-year-old Gaumard pediatric mannequins, 2 infant Gaumard mannequins
  •  Lower-fidelity static mannequins for procedure training (i.e., IV, IO, Central Line, OB/GYN, Foley catheter, rectal and prostate exam, breast exam, heart and lung sounds, EKG recognition, 12 lead EKG placement, cardiac monitor, CPR and AED’s and Airway management)
  •  All spaces are equipped with CAE Learning Space, a data collection and program management system to assess student clinical performance
