Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering

Through traditional coursework, practical experience, and opportunities for scholarly research, New York Tech’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering produces well-rounded graduates with the broad range of skills and aptitudes needed to succeed in today’s engineering environment. 

Our program responds to the growing need for engineers who have computer hardware and software skills, giving you a competitive advantage as you pursue employment on a national and international level. 

Tackle courses in engineering science and engineering design, as well as laboratory work in our state-of-the-art facilities to put the principles and theories presented in the classroom into practice. Our faculty combine academic expertise with industrial and research experience, bringing a wealth of knowledge in design, development, and implementation to the classroom. 

Demand for our program graduates is high, with many finding employment in the power, utilities, and telecommunications industries, as well as in the service sector and with federal agencies.
