Mathematics Minor
Adding a 16-credit math minor to your undergraduate degree program is a great way to diversify your education and boost your professional appeal to employers seeking skilled individuals who can deliver mathematically-based solutions. The mathematics minor will be listed on your diploma.
If you major in engineering, you’ll likely need just two or three more math courses in addition to what’s required for your major. If you’re a computer science major, you’ll generally need four math courses beyond what’s required for your major.
To add this minor:
- Fill out and sign the application form.
- Bring the signed copy for review and signature to the chair of the Department of Mathematics:
- Long Island: Ranja Roy, Ph.D., Harry J. Schure Hall, room 114, or scan and email to rroy@nyit.edu.
- New York CIty: Ranja Roy, Ph.D., 61 W. 61st St., room: 724, or scan and email to rroy@nyit.edu.
