Brand in Action
The New York Tech brand comes to life across the materials we create and the experiences we deliver. Whether you’re developing a presentation, ordering promotional items, or creating materials for an event, consistent use of approved brand elements helps ensure a recognizable and cohesive New York Tech presence.
Use the guidance below to apply the brand across common communications and applications. Approved assets and templates are available through Aprimo and Marq.
Approved templates make it easier to create polished, brand-aligned materials while maintaining consistency across New York Tech.
Marq Templates
Marq provides customizable New York Tech templates for commonly created materials. Because access is limited to licensed users, visit the Marq page to learn more about available templates and access.

New York Tech-branded apparel and merchandise should present the university identity consistently and professionally. This includes shirts and other clothing, giveaways, promotional products, and items produced for schools, departments, programs, events, or initiatives.
Use Approved Artwork
Use only current, approved New York Tech logos and artwork. Do not recreate, redraw, modify, or embellish university marks. Approved assets are available in Aprimo.
Color & Reproduction
Choose product and imprint colors that provide sufficient contrast and allow the New York Tech identity to reproduce clearly. Refer to the Color guidelines for approved brand colors.
School and Department Identification
When a school, department, office, or other unit needs to be identified, follow the approved logo and naming conventions rather than creating a separate logo or graphic treatment.
Vendor Production
Provide vendors with approved artwork rather than asking them to recreate a logo from a website, screenshot, or existing item.

Branded materials used at events, conferences, recruitment activities, and other university programs should create a consistent New York Tech presence.
This can include banners, table coverings, signage, displays, giveaways, printed materials, and other promotional items.
Keep the Brand Visible
Make sure the New York Tech identity is clearly represented and remains legible within the application.
Keep It Simple
Avoid crowding materials with multiple logos, competing graphics, or unnecessary visual elements. When several university units are involved, don’t create a collection of competing unit logos.
Use Current Assets
Use approved artwork from Aprimo and follow the relevant logo, color, typography, and visual guidelines for the application.

Use approved New York Tech templates when creating presentations and other university communications. Templates provide a consistent foundation while allowing content to be adapted to the needs of the audience.
Presentations
Begin with an approved presentation template and maintain the established typography, colors, logo placement, and overall visual structure.
Everyday Communications
For materials that do not have a dedicated template, apply the core brand standards consistently rather than creating a new visual identity for an individual school, department, program, or initiative.
Find Templates
Check Marq and Aprimo for available templates and current assets before creating materials from scratch.

Not every application can be addressed by a set of guidelines. Strategic Communications can provide guidance when you are developing something new, working with an outside vendor, or are unsure how the New York Tech brand should be applied.
Contact Strategic Communications for help with brand usage, creative direction, or projects that fall outside the examples provided in these guidelines.
