Emergency Procedures

  • Monitor campus alerts and local weather reports.
  • Follow instructions regarding delays, closures, or shelter-in-place.

  • Avoid standing water.
  • Do not enter flooded areas.
  • Report flooding to Facilities or Campus Security.
  • Follow evacuation instructions if issued.

Includes power outage, water disruption, HVAC failure, or IT outage.

  • Report the issue to Campus Security or Facilities.
  • Remain in place unless instructed otherwise.
  • Follow official updates.

During a campus-wide health emergency:

  • Follow guidance from the Chief Medical Officer and university leadership.
  • Comply with isolation or safety instructions.
  • Monitor official university communications.

The university supports lawful and peaceful expression.

  • Avoid areas if you feel unsafe.
  • Follow instructions from campus officials if conditions change.
  • Report escalating safety concerns immediately.
