Perceptual Prototypes, Athina Papadopoulou: Perceptual prototypes are wearable prototypes with embedded sensors for in-situ architectural explorations of physical spaces. The prototypes can augment the wearers’ sensory awareness of space in regards to all the senses, by allowing the wearer to focus on each of their senses individually.

Sonic Pots, Athina Papadopoulou with Harpreet Sareen: Sonic pots is a synesthetic interface that can augment one’s creativity by adding to the art of pot making the auditory modality; the pot’s profile is translated into sonic profiles during the creative process leading to new aesthetic associations. Sonic pots is also an inclusive interface allowing blind users to utilize both touching and hearing in the pot making process.

Tactile Drawing, Athina Papadopoulou with Maroula Bacharidou: Tactile drawing is a result of a computational exploration towards inclusive design that goes beyond the typically adopted in design visio-centric approach, addressing the needs of bind users by incorporating the sense of touch in 3d printed drawings.
