How to Get Your New OneCard ID
From April 1- 30, New York Tech will begin transitioning the New York City and Long Island campuses to a new OneCard ID badge system.
This upgrade will enhance campus security and provide more convenient access to facilities. With the new proximity cards, you’ll be able to access authorized areas by simply holding your ID/badge near the reader, making entry smoother and more efficient.
New ID/badges will be issued to all current ID/badge holders on the New York City and Long Island campuses. During the April 1-30 transition period, please continue to use your current ID card until you trade it in for the new one.
To Get Your New OneCard ID
- Check that your current ID photo is up to date. If your photo is more than five years old, please upload a new photo for your new ID/badge before picking up your new ID/badge.
- Update and verify your emergency contact information. Go to my.NYIT Portal, select Employee Self-Service, and then Personal Information. Be sure you’ve listed an “Alternative” (secondary non-NYIT) email for security verification. Complete your updates before May 1.
- Bring your current New York Tech ID card to the security office associated with your official home campus to exchange for a new card.
