Radoslaw (Radek) Nowak, Ph.D., assistant professor of human resource studies, had his research on business strategy in service organizations, “Does employee understanding of strategic objectives matter? Effects on culture and performance,” published in The Journal of Strategy and Management on June 25, 2020. In his study, he found that employees' understanding of their organization's strategic objectives will translate into higher service quality provided to customers, resulting in improved business performance.

Ehsan Kamel

College of Engineering & Computing Sciences Energy Management

Ehsan Kamel, Ph.D., assistant professor of energy management; Shaya Sheik, Ph.D., assistant professor of management and marketing studies; and Xueqing Huang, assistant professor of computer science, have co-authored a paper, "Data-driven predictive models for residential building energy use based on the segregation of heating and cooling days," published online in the journal Energy on June 22, 2020, with print publication to follow on September 1, 2020.

Pablo Lorenzo-Eiroa, M.Arch., associate professor of architecture, was a keynote speaker for the Biodigital Archtiecture BIODIG 2020 - RESIM 2020 International Conference in Bareclona, Spain, held June 3-5, 2020. He presented his research on a radical evidence-based interactive zoning system proposal contemplating for a futuristic ecological vision for New York City through big data processing and simulation.
