Mechanical Engineering

The mission of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at New York Tech is to prepare you for successful employment or the pursuit of graduate studies and/or continued education in your field and to help you learn to function as a responsible member of society through engagement in community or professional organizations.

Our ABET-accredited B.S. in Mechanical Engineering prepares you to apply basic and advanced engineering knowledge and skills to the design and analysis of engineering systems, such as thermo-fluid systems, energy systems, dynamical control systems, nano/microsensors and devices, advanced materials, and advanced transportation systems. We also offer a concentration in aerospace engineering, focusing on aircraft and space vehicle design. Our M.S. in Mechanical Engineering incorporates cutting-edge research and up-to-date coursework. We also offer a B.S. in Engineering Management, which focuses on the foundations of financial management, project analysis, operations management, quality control, and other skills needed in today’s global marketplace.
