What You’ll Learn

The UX/UI Design and Development, M.A., is a one-year program where you’ll learn how to strategize, design, and develop user experience/user interface in industries ranging from entertainment and media production to aerospace, architecture, medicine, and more.

International F-1 students who successfully complete this degree are eligible for an additional 24-month STEM OPT extension to work in the U.S. in an area directly related to their area of study immediately upon completing the customary 12-month post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Digesting Metabolism: Artificial Land in Japan 1954-2202

Moving away from the focus on capsule architecture that dominates discussion of Japan’s Metabolist architects, the book Digesting Metabolism: Artificial Land in Japan 1954–2202 (Hatje Cantz, 2022) investigates the impact on Japanese housing of Le Corbusier’s idea of “artificial land.” Long buried by the term “megastructure” that it inspired, artificial land joins the individual and collective, envisioning housing as stacked platforms of plots for building freestanding homes of all variety.
