Invest in Yourself. You're Worth It.

A college education is one of the best investments you can make in your future. It's also one of the biggest. Our generous scholarships and financial aid packages help make New York Institute of Technology one of the most affordable private universities in New York.

  • We award grants and scholarships every year, greatly reducing the cost of tuition for 82% of our undergraduate students.
  • 95% of full-time degree-seeking students were awarded some form of financial aid.

Below are the estimated costs of attending the New York Institute of Technology for an undergraduate student enrolled full time (enrolled for 12 to 18 credits) for the 2019–2020 academic year, and the estimated costs of attending as a graduate student enrolled full time (enrolled in 9 or more credits) for fall and spring (tuition for graduate students is assessed by the number of credits enrolled for that semester1).

Fees vary for Technical and Non-Technical Majors2. Tuition and fees for part-time and online students are assessed based on the number of credits enrolled for that semester1.

These costs may vary depending on the room you choose. We can adjust your individual Cost of Attendance with proper documentation. Off Campus and With Parent housing estimates are based on the Consumer Price Index. Room and Board Off Campus is estimated based on average rentals from five local areas. Formula = 9 months average rent for a one bedroom apartment from Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Manhattan.

4) On Campus meals are based on the average meal plan between Long Island and New York City campuses. These costs may vary depending on the meal plan you choose. We can adjust your individual Cost of Attendance with proper documentation.

6) Personal expenses include phone charges, clothes, entertainment, laundry, and other costs. Although your actual expenses will vary, these estimates should help you plan a budget.

7) Transportation estimate for NYC campus and on-campus Long Island residents is based on monthly Metrocard purchase over a nine-month period. Long Island off-campus estimate was calculated using the IRS (2019) standard mileage rate of $0.575 per mile for a round trip of 30 miles to/from New York Tech for 30 weeks, 5 days per week. This represents the average estimated annual transportation costs for a full-time student.
