Information Technology Services (ITS) recognizes that your technological needs extend beyond the classroom and your role at New York Tech, influencing both your campus and remote experiences, as well as your personal life. To help you succeed in all areas, we’ve curated a variety of resources to support your computing needs and ensure your success.
Computer Hardware & Discounts
New York Tech requires all students to have access to a Windows or Apple device (laptop or desktop) that meets the university’s minimum computer requirements to access essential electronic resources.
If you would like to purchase a device, New York Tech students are eligible for discounts. ITS has partnered with the following hardware manufacturers to provide personal discounts to all NY Tech students, faculty, and staff:
Consider purchasing an extended warranty and accidental damage protection for extra coverage. Please note that ITS does not provide hardware support for personal devices.

Note: Some departments have specific hardware and software requirements. We strongly recommend consulting with your academic school or college to confirm any additional or program-specific requirements.

Software & Discounts
New York Tech provides a range of software titles for free or at discounted rates. Ensure that your device meets the minimum system requirements for any software you wish to install. If the needed software is not listed, inquire about education discounts with the seller.
