Barton, D.P.T., published their paper entitled "Self-reported effects of warm seasonal temperatures in persons with spinal cord injury," in The Journal of Spinal Cord Medicine, a peer-reviewed publication, on April 3, 2023.

School of Architecture and DesignEmma Fuller and Michael Overby, both adjunct instructors of architecture and principals in the firm of Fuller/Overby, were featured in an April 3, 2023, article on the Architectural Record website, "Fuller/Overby's Lakeside House Strikes up a Conversation Between the Whole and its Parts."
Viswanathan Rajagopalan
NYITCOM-ArkansasViswanathan Rajagopalan, Ph.D., associate professor of biomedical sciences at NYITCOM-Arkansas, published an article, "Novel Transcriptomic Interactomes of Noncoding RNAs in the Heart under Altered Thyroid Hormonal States" to a special issue, New Horizon for Non-coding RNAs, of the International Journal of Molecular Sciences, a peer-reviewed, open access journal, on March 31, 2023. These findings were also presented at the American Physiological Society Summit Conference held in Los Angeles, Calif., in April 2023.

Student Engagement & DevelopmentFelipe Henao, Ed.D., dean of students, was featured in GoodCourse's The Interview USA, published on March 23, 2023. The conversation focused on Henao's efforts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in higher education.

Maria Pino
College of Osteopathic MedicineMaria A. Pino, Ph.D., professor of biological and chemical sciences, published her article, "Clinical Overview: The Addition of Curcumin to Standard Ovarian Cancer Chemotherapy," in Pharmacy Times, on March 21, 2023. Pino's article finds that curcumin (the compound found in turmeric) may help improve effectiveness in ovarian cancer patients receiving chemotherapy.

LibraryDiana Moronta, M.S.L.I.S., spoke at the Association of College and Research Libraries 2023 Conference on the topic of "Productivity during a pandemic: Navigating the book publication process as an early career librarian," on March 16, 2023, in Pittsburgh, Pa. Moronta also spoke with Vanessa Viola, M.L.I.S, M.S.I.T., at another session held virtually on March 17 on the topic, "Embedded Librarianship:Two Perspectives, Same Institution."
