Invitation Letters

Are you inviting family or friends to visit you in the United States?

The U.S. Department of State Consular Affairs Division requires that the invitation letter should be written by you (the inviter). New York Institute of Technology does not write invitation letters. We recommend writing a personal letter to invite a friend or family member to visit you in the United States for up to six months. This may be taken to the visa interview as a supporting document. You can make two versions of the letter: one in your own language and one in English. Please write one letter per person that you will be inviting.

Or, on Commencement Day, you will be able to receive one during line-up when you report to President’s stadium at 8:15 a.m. It is possible supplies may be limited.

Missing Cap & Gown

If you are missing a cap & gown, please go to the outdoor tennis courts on Commencement Day starting at 7:45 a.m. We have a limited supply of extra gowns and they will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
