Our Medical Humanities minor is a great way to diversify your education and boost your professional appeal to health care employers. It also provides a key differentiator if you are considering graduate and post-graduate degrees in health care or medicine.
In this 15-credit program, you’ll discover that the foundation of health care is about human contact: empathy, communication, observation, and analysis. You’ll promote your cultural competency and enhance your ability to communicate with patients.
You’ll also examine:
issues of personhood as they pertain to health care
disabilities and illness, including their emotional and psychological impact
the history and social context of medical practice across literature, philosophy, ethics, anthropology, psychology, and sociology
We believe it's important to offer access to opportunity to all qualified students. New York Tech has one of the lowest private tuitions in New York State and provides more than $40 million in institutional financial aid each year.
