Accelerated degree programs are an excellent choice for students wanting to attend graduate or medical school, or just take a faster approach to furthering their education. These programs enable students to complete two degrees in less time, save thousands of dollars in tuition fees, and create robust skill sets that can benefit their future careers. New York Tech offers more than 30 options for students to get their advanced degree in less time. Our degree options span the fields of education, engineering, health professions, medicine, school counseling, and more.

Terminology for programs like 4+1, dual degrees, and accelerated programs varies among universities, though these terms are often used interchangeably. Not all accelerated programs fit the 4+1 format; some may be structured as 4+2 or 4+3. Application requirements also differ, with some programs requiring first-year admission and others allowing interest to be expressed as late as junior year. Ultimately, these programs enable students to earn both a bachelor’s and an advanced degree more quickly.

Understanding how to finance college can be one of the biggest hurdles for many prospective students in the higher education decision process. New York Tech is committed to making education affordable—with generous scholarships and personalized financial aid.

When comparing colleges, it’s important for students and families to look beyond the “sticker price.” Net tuition rate is what’s actually paid after scholarships, grants, and financial aid are applied. This number gives students and families a true picture of the costs—and many times that the real price of attending New York Tech is more affordable than one might think. With first-year students getting up to $40,000 per year in scholarships, an average of $38,700 in financial aid awards, and 99.8% receiving financial aid, New York Tech strives to make paying for a degree simple to navigate and within the financial reach for your students.
