Osteopathic Medicine, D.O. / Academic Medicine, M.S.

In the five-year D.O. / Academic Medicine M.S. program, you’ll master osteopathic principles, advanced biostatistics, and epidemiology. Enhance doctor-patient interactions, refine clinical diagnostic skills, and delve into research methodologies.

To be eligible for admission to NYITCOM, you must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution (exceptions for formal articulation agreements)
  • Complete prerequisite courses in English, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics
  • Have taken the MCAT (scores from January 2021 and later)
  • Accept NYITCOM technical standards for acceptance and matriculation

To be eligible to transfer, a student must have successfully completed the first two years of an osteopathic medical school curriculum accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) and be in good academic standing.

The College of Osteopathic Medicine is institutionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
