What You’ll Learn
Our Interior Design, B.F.A. program explores the creative possibilities of well-designed interior spaces in an intimate, high-powered, and nurturing environment. Our unique blend of highly diverse faculty and small class sizes ensures that you receive unmatched personal attention to develop your unique style of expression.
Interested in design management? While pursuing your Interior Design, B.F.A, you’ll take nine management credits made up of six waivable core electives and, upon graduation, complete your 30-credit Management, M.B.A.
You’ll have access to advanced tools for fleshing out and testing your digital and real-world concepts, including motion capture, 3-D scanning and printing, VR and AR hardware, computer-controlled laser cutters, CNC routers, and traditional woodshop machines.
Through workshops and collaborative experiences, School of Architecture and Design students use their knowledge to actively assist communities in need due to ecological, social, or economic factors.

$50 nonrefundable application fee
Copies of transcripts of all high school work, including college-level courses
First-time first-year applicants may choose to submit their application without standardized test scores to be considered for admission to New York Institute of Technology.
Two letters of recommendation
300–350 word essay on an assigned topic
Transfer
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 for coursework completed at other institutions or at New York Tech
A portfolio is required in order to receive transfer credit for design work. You will receive instructions to submit your portfolio when you receive your credit evaluation.

New York Tech offers scholarships based on your academic achievements and potential. Most awards are renewable if you continue to meet eligibility requirements, making a significant difference in your total cost of attendance.
International F-1 students who successfully complete this degree program are eligible for an additional 24-month STEM OPT extension to work in the U.S. in an area directly related to their area of study immediately upon completing the customary 12-month post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT).
