Pennie Turgeon is Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer/Chief Information Security Officer, at the New York Institute of Technology, a role she has held since October 2019. She provides strategic leadership and transformational delivery of information and technology services while ensuring alignment with institutional priorities.
Her portfolio spans enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud and network services, cybersecurity, IT support services, data analytics, instructional technologies, high-performance computing and vendor management.
Previously, Pennie served as Vice President for IT and CIO at Clark University as well as the University’s Chief Information Security/Privacy Officer. She also worked at Worcester Polytechnic Institute advancing online and technology-mediated learning initiatives. Her industry experience includes roles at Texas Instruments and IBM.
A long-standing contributor to NERCOMP, she served on the NERCOMP Board of Trustees (2005–2013) and continues to serve on its finance committee. She holds a B.S. from Worcester State University and an M.B.A. from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
