The future of cites. Envisioning future healthScapes. 2025 STI Forum at United Nations

Envisioning Future HealthScapes: rethinking methodologies of design practices towards regenerative environments. 2025 STI Forum – Side Event at the United Nations, New York

How can different disciplines come together to create livable cities for the future? That is the focus of the symposium series, “Future of Cities,” which is hosted by the School of Architecture and Design at New York Institute of Technology in partnership with the Consulate General of Denmark in New York. In this new activation, the program will center around the interdependency between health and design as well as the impact of environmental issues on health inequities.

As part of the 10th United Nations Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation, this event is closely connected to the Sustainable Development Goals’ ethos of leaving no one behind. The speakers will provide both academic and practitioner insights, discuss resilient urban strategies, and propose new ways of collaborating. Combining local and global perspectives, the aim is to foster renewed thinking and operational processes that can lead to healthier and more sustainable environments and improved wellbeing for all.
