Parking Permits

New York Tech Security requires that all cars parked on the Long Island (Old Westbury) campus display a new New York Tech parking permit by December 16, 2016. As of Monday, Dec. 21, 2016, cars without a new permit are subject to a $50 "no permit" citation, which will be removed only if the summons-holder registers the car online and picks up a new permit within five business days of summons date.

How to Obtain a New Parking Permit

1. Register Online

Log on to the New York Tech parking portal to request a permit. You will need the following information:

NYIT Security Parking Notice

Please note: You must pick up your permit with seven (7) days, otherwise your online registration will expire and you will need to re-enter your information.

2. Get Your New Permit and Display it on Your Car

Upon receipt of a permit confirmation email, bring the following items to New York Tech Security at Simonson House to get your parking permit, which is valid for five years:

  • New York Tech ID
  • Original vehicle registration*
  • Permit registration confirmation (print or digital)

After you pick up your permit, affix it to your vehicle as soon as possible. You will receive a receipt via email.

* Registering more than one vehicle requires the vehicle registration for each car.
