To accommodate the growing need for health professionals, the Department of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences at New York Tech has created a selection of relevant majors and minors that will equip you with the skills and knowledge to work in a variety of health-related environments.
Our new B.S. in Exercise Science with a concentration in Exercise Physiology will prepare you for an exciting career in exercise physiology and community fitness and provide a pathway to physical therapy graduate programs. The B.S. in Health Sciences is ideal preparation for a career in physical or occupational therapy or as a physician assistant and provides a solid foundation for other healthcare professions. Our B.S. in Health and Wellness will similarly prepare you for a career in nursing, public health, health administration, and health informatics. And at the graduate level, our fully online M.S. in Clinical Nutrition provides great flexibility for professionals who wish to go further in nutrition and related health fields. We also offer minors Health Sciences and Health Services Administration for those looking for additional specialization.
Faculty in all our programs are experts in their fields and have published widely. The department also prides itself on one-to-one advisement provided year-round to each student.
