Why Earn Your B.S. in Health and Wellness at New York Tech?

The unique blended format of the Health and Wellness program at New York Tech, including online courses, gives you the flexibility to complete your degree on your schedule. Real-world experience is a key component of this program, including a one-semester, senior-year internship in a healthcare setting, where you’ll explore various health disciplines and improve communication and professional skills. Many of these internships lead to offers for full-time employment after graduation.  

Our faculty of health professionals provide mentorship opportunities and share their expertise across a wide variety of disciplines. Their participation in cutting-edge research on the local, national, and international levels is an invaluable resource in your studies. They’ll work closely with you to help ensure that your academic and career paths best reflect your individual strengths and interests, aligning you for greater success down the road.  

Upon graduation, you’ll be ready for employment in medical centers, community health clinics, government health departments, fitness and wellness facilities, and the pharmaceutical and health insurance industries. Plus, by adding just two additional courses, you can add a minor in Health Services Administration to your B.S. degree.

To apply, submit the following:

  • Completed application
  • $50 nonrefundable application fee
  • Copies of transcripts for all prior high school- and college-level work
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • A brief essay on an assigned topic

You may also submit standardized test scores, but they are not required.

New York Tech offers scholarships based on your academic achievements and potential. Most awards are renewable if you continue to meet eligibility requirements, making a significant difference in your total cost of attendance.

International F-1 students who successfully complete this degree program are eligible for an additional 24-month STEM OPT extension to work in the U.S. in an area directly related to their area of study immediately upon completing the customary 12-month post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT)
