What You’ll Learn

Our rigorous, innovation-focused Computer Science, Ph.D. offers an advanced, research-oriented education in emerging areas of computer science, including cybersecurity, data science, and cloud computing.

Your studies will combine core fundamental courses, transformative research, and special topics including machine learning, privacy, mobile security research, vehicle security research, and artificial intelligence, that bridge the gap between high-technology research and its commercialization. You’ll work directly with expert faculty on research projects sponsored by the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and Department of Defense at New York Tech’s Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC).

How You’ll Succeed

Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared to prominent members of the research community and leaders in academia, R&D, industry, and government labs and entities.

RA and TA positions may also be available to qualified applicants.

International F-1 students who successfully complete this degree are eligible for an additional 24-month STEM OPT extension to work in the U.S. in an area directly related to their area of study immediately upon completing the customary 12-month post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Certain changes to this program are pending approval by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
