Launched in 2020, the Students First summer webinar series keeps students connected with what is happening at the university by offering information, resources, and engagement tools to help them thrive academically, socially, and personally. Now in its third consecutive summer, the 2022 lineup of guest speakers and student interviewers will help answer the important questions our student body has for New York Tech's administration.

Leveraging New York Tech’s Digital Experience
Pennie Turgeon, Vice President for Information Technology Services, helps you leverage all the technology resources available to you online and on campus. She’ll guide you through the new myNYIT portal, Student Service HUB, and other online platforms so you’ll hit the ground running in the fall.

Suzanne Musho, Vice President for Real Estate Development & Capital Planning, and Dean of Students Felipe Henao discuss new spaces and resources on the New York City and Long Island campuses. Dean Henao will also share exciting information about upcoming campus events, activities, and leadership opportunities.

Career & Experiential Education Opportunities
Amy Bravo, Senior Director of Career Success and Experiential Education, shares information about internships, volunteer opportunities, and other resources to give you the experience you need to stand out to employers.

Student Interviewer: Ali Gedawi, an undergraduate physics major and member of the Class of 2025 at the New York City campus, serves as treasurer for the NYC Student Government Association. In 2022, she received the Student Life Emerging Leader Award.

Financing Your College Experience
Amelia Cupani, Assistant Director of Financial Aid, and Patricia Duran, Senior Director of Student Accounts, teaches you how to navigate the financial aid system and find resources to help you pay for your college degree. Ayana Mondesir, Our Money Matters campus and community liaison, will introduce you to a free platform that provides an individualized plan to improve your financial success and wellness! Bonus: Students who attend will be entered into a raffle to win up to $500 in prizes!
