James Corry recently joined New York Institute of Technology as a full-time academic librarian at the NYIT-New York City campus.

He is originally from Australia, and has been a New York States resident for the last 30 plus years. His work experience has come from a variety of settings, including public libraries, college libraries, a corporate library, banking/brokerage, consular affairs, sports marketing and emergency medical services.

He earned a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the Palmer School of Long Island University and a Bachelor of Business degree with majors in Administrative Studies and Economics from the Gippsland Campus of Monash University in Australia.

His interests include reading, travelling, mountain biking, swimming, motor sports, tennis, soccer and cricket.

He looks forward to helping students obtain the research and information needed by providing guidance on how to use the library and its many services.
