Catherine Hartup (she/her) has worked in several academic libraries that span higher education environments, including community colleges and traditional four year liberal arts institutions, as well as the public library in her native Wisconsin. Every one of these positions has involved working extensively with patrons and has reinforced her passion for maximizing and broadening avenues to student success while making library services accessible and exciting.

Hartup received her Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute and her bachelor’s degree in Film and Media Studies and the Study of Women and Gender from Smith College. Outside of work, she enjoys Prospect Park outings, hitting every indie movie theater in the city, reading (extensively) for fun, biking, and spoiling her beloved cat, Boo.
