Campuses to Reopen Tuesday, January 27

Due to this weekend’s snowstorm, both the Long Island and New York City campuses are closed today, Monday, January 26. Monday classes are cancelled and our offices will be closed.

Both campuses will reopen Tuesday, January 27, for all classes and activities, as scheduled.

High-Fidelity Nursing Simulation Lab

Our nursing simulation labs, designed as hospital rooms and community clinics with high-tech programmable adult and infant manikins, are where you’ll hone your nursing skills using our advanced patient manikins programmed to mimic the human responses of actual patients. Treat patients under emergency conditions, assess and diagnose human responses, and administer patient care.

Using these anatomically accurate high-fidelity patient manikins, you will:

  • Collaborate with students from other programs in the School of Health Professions and the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine as part of an integrated interprofessional medical team.
  • Assess patients, make decisions, and deliver care.
  • Practice the skill sets pivotal to patient care.
  • Use the latest technology in a supportive academic environment that will prepare you to use the same technology nurses use in practice settings.

With your New York Tech nursing degree, you’ll possess an outstanding competitive edge for practice upon graduation and licensure as a registered professional nurse.
