Open Enrollment Information
This year’s Open Enrollment period for health insurance and voluntary benefits is November 4 – November 15, 2024.
During Open Enrollment, you can make changes/elections to the items listed below through our New York Tech Human Resources Self-Service Portal. Please review your benefits enrollment to ensure this information, including your dependent information, is accurate. If you are adding new dependents to your medical plan, please submit a Dependent Update Form to HR Secure Submissions once your elections have been submitted.
During Open Enrollment you may:
- Change medical plans for 2025.
- Cancel your Medical Waiver Bonus and enroll in a medical plan.
- Decline medical plan coverage and enroll online in the Medical Waiver Bonus (if you have other medical coverage). Proof of other medical coverage is required.
- If you are currently receiving the Medical Waiver Bonus, you must re-enroll online during Open Enrollment to receive the bonus in 2025. Proof of other medical coverage is required.
- Enroll in the dental plan.
- Decline dental coverage.
- Enroll in a Healthcare Flexible Spending Account and/or Dependent Care Spending Account for 2025. (NOTE: If you are currently participating in a Flexible Spending Account, deductions from 2024 will not continue in 2025—you must make a new election for 2025.)
- Elect to contribute to your Health Savings Account. This applies only for employees enrolled in the High Deductible Health Plan who are not enrolled in Medicare. (NOTE: If you are currently contributing to a Health Savings Account, deductions from 2024 will not continue in 2024—you must make a new election for 2025.)
You may make changes through the Human Resources Self-Service Portal beginning Monday, November 4.
