Brittany O’Gara is an assistant professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Adelphi University in 2012 and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Long Island University in 2015, when she received the Rudy Brunner Award for academic and clinical excellence and consummate professionalism. O’Gara is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has practiced in emergency medicine and urgent care since 2016.

Before joining New York Tech, she served on the faculty of the LIU Physician Assistant Program from 2019 to 2026, holding leadership positions that included director of admissions and director of didactic education. Her teaching experience includes emergency medicine, rheumatology, hematology and oncology, role socialization and professional practice, PA history, and healthcare law, coding, and billing. Her academic and research interests include PANCE (Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination) preparation and predictors of student success.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, O’Gara enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her children in their many extracurricular activities. An enthusiastic New York sports fan, she enjoys cheering on the Yankees, Rangers, Giants, and Knicks.
