Danielle Murphy (M.S. ’16) is a physician assistant and educator, as well as a proud alumna of New York Institute of Technology’s Physician Assistant (PA) Studies program. Since beginning her clinical career in 2016 as a Hospitalist Physician Assistant at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, she has been dedicated to mentoring new clinicians and supporting the professional growth of future healthcare providers.

Murphy’s commitment to education led her to co-lead a Medical Spanish Club for Physician Assistant students in 2022, an experience that evolved into a faculty appointment as a temporary professor at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM). During the 2023–2024 academic year, she taught Spanish for Healthcare Workers through the university’s School of Health Professions as part of a New York State Workforce Development grant. She currently teaches Medical Spanish I and II electives for NYITCOM, serving students on both the Long Island and Arkansas campuses. She additionally taught Nephrology as an adjunct professor in the PA program.

Alongside her academic work, Danielle Murphy practices as a Structural Heart Valve Physician Assistant at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center since 2021. Working in the rapidly evolving field of structural cardiology alongside interventional cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons allows her to bring current, evidence-based clinical knowledge and real-world experience into the classroom.
