Brandi Lewis was born in Dayton, Ohio and is a graduate of Wright State University. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Her residency was at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Lewis’s primary areas of teaching are Doctor Patient Relationship, Case Based Learning, and clinical competence. Her professional experience includes seven years in general pediatrics with a special interest in pediatric obesity. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, board certified in pediatrics. She also serves as the advisor of the NYITCOM pediatric interest group. Her research interest are in the areas of pediatric obesity, childhood well-being, and medical education.
