Eric Riley teaches first-year Design Fundamentals and Visualization I studios in the School of Architecture and Design. In addition to teaching, Eric works in aviation planning and program management for AECOM, where he specializes in facility lifecycle Building Information Modeling (BIM) management. He serves as the Program Lifecycle BIM Manager for the LaGuardia Airport Redevelopment Program. His work focuses on leveraging BIM processes to ensure the most efficient use of these technologies throughout the lifecycle of an asset; managing and enhancing workflows to bridge the information loss from design and construction to operations, maintenance and decommissioning. His research interests also include patterns of urbanization in China—specifically those resulting from financial crises.

Eric received his master’s degree in Urban Design at The City College of The City University of New York, and bachelor’s degree in Architecture at New York Institute of Technology.
