After graduating from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1982, Maryanne Cucchiarelli completed a traditional osteopathic rotating internship at Baptist Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y., and a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City. She is board certified in PM&R through the AOA as well as the AMA.

Cucchiarelli teaches medical students during hands-on laboratory sessions in OMM. She is also involved in teaching PM&R residents as part of the summer series in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Mt. Sinai Services, Elmhurst Hospital Center, NY, where she was a clinical assistant attending and part of the Mt. Sinai faculty for more than 20 years.
