Samer Charbaji received his Ph.D. in Technology and Operations from the University of Michigan-Ross School of Business. In his research, he uses novel experimental designs to study various ways of improving knowledge worker productivity. His research has been published in Productions and Operations Management. He currently studies how creativity constraints impact the originality and usefulness of a knowledge worker’s creative output and how discretionary task-switching between creative and non-creative tasks impacts the productivity of knowledge workers. He has previously examined how the helping behavior and productivity of knowledge workers can be impacted by design features found on popular Enterprise Social Media platforms and their underlying behavioral mechanisms.
