The School of Management assures its stakeholders that academic programs and activities are career oriented. In keeping with our mission of providing career oriented education, the School of Management utilizes its Dean’s Advisory Board to inform decisions on curriculum and other matters, and also to reference decisions on curricular matters.

The Dean’s Advisory Board provides input on major-specific learning goals and the associated courses. The board also references course-level learning goals for relevance to the business environment, the degree of alignment between learning outcomes and the course-level learning goals, and degree of attainment of the course-level learning goals through a review of sample student learning outcomes. This review provides an alternative assessment of the quality of curriculum and learning outcomes that can be contrasted to the metric/score-based direct assessments that derive from the assurance of learning process. Moreover, the diversity of the board is an asset in delivering a significant cross-section of inputs from which the school can ensure that its scope of program coverage reflects a broad-based consistency.
