Milan Toma, Ph.D., assistant professor of clinical sciences, Michael Nizich, Ph.D., adjunct associate professor of computer science and director of the Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center (ETIC), and two CoECS students Y. H. Pandya and D. Dongre have published a paper titled, “Assessing Forces Exerted on Horses Using Varying Riding Crops,” in the Journal of Equine Veterinary Science, on March 1, 2021.

Saverio Marsicano, senior lab engineer for the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences, was recognized as one of the Top Techies on Long Island by Long Island Press on January 10, 2021.

Robert N. Amundsen, Ph.D., associate professor and chair of the Department of Energy Management, presented “Relocalization: Challenges and Strategies” at the NCSE Drawdown 2021 Conference: Research to Action - Science and Solutions for a Planet Under Pressure, held virtually January 5-9, 2021.

Batu K. Chalise, Ph.D., assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering, and his postdoctoral research fellow, Sudarshan Guruacharya, have published an article entitled, “MAP Ratio Test Detector for Radar System,” in IEEE Transactions Signal Processing (impact factor 5.230, 2019), vol. 69, 573 - 588, 2021, on December 14, 2020. The research associated with this article was funded by Air Force Research Laboratory.
