New York Tech Healthcare Service Training Project

Answer the region's need for physical therapy aides, registered nurses, personal trainers, and healthcare workers with Spanish language skills—with TUITION-FREE programs at New York Tech.

Thanks to a grant from the New York State Department of Labor and the Long Island Regional Economic Development Council (LIREDC), New York Institute of Technology is offering a training program for potential healthcare workers. The program launched in spring 2022 on New York Tech's Long Island campus.

At the conclusion of each program, participants will earn certificates of completion and be prepared to fill important roles in the healthcare industry. NYIT School of Health Professions is overseeing the program and will work with NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to leverage their strong partnerships with healthcare employers in Long Island and New York City.

We seek participants who are currently under- or unemployed, including young people diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, veterans, and other Long Islanders eager to pursue careers in healthcare.
