Training Programs: Medical Coding & Office Skills

Prepare for a career in medical coding—learn to use and apply medical coding for insurance reimbursement in a physician's office or healthcare setting for transmission to insurance companies. Upon finishing this 60-hour course, students will receive a certificate of completion from New York Institute of Technology. Classes will be held in person on New York Tech's Long Island campus. This FREE training is valued at $700.

The program provides:

  • Thorough understanding of medical coding rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of compliance, coding procedures, and regulations
  • Preparation for work in a variety of healthcare settings

This program is part of the New York Tech Healthcare Service Training Project, offering qualified individuals tuition-free training in response to the healthcare needs of the Long Island region. It is supported by a grant from the New York State Department of Labor and the Long Island Regional Economic Development Council (LIREDC).
