Advertising, Public Relations, & Technology, B.F.A.

Our New York-based advertising and public relations program embraces an experiential model that simulates the same practices, procedures, and challenges you'll experience as a professional in the industry.

  • Gain proficiency in social media management, research techniques, and global advertising and public relations methods.
  • Learn to devise marketing strategies and communicate your ideas, and prepare campaigns and professional presentations.
  • Participate in workshops and student-run organizations, such as the Carleton Group, our advertising and public relations agency; the Globesville interactive web channel; and ProdCo, our production company.
  • Learn to use film, television, audio equipment, and complex computer software to enhance your skill set.

Choose from a variety of courses designed to meet the needs of the ever-changing marketplace: from research, e-marketing, and integrated marketing to industry-specific communications and event planning. During your coursework, you'll participate in professional internships and guided projects, and produce an e-portfolio of your student work.
