NYIT Ranked in Top Tier of U.S. News and World Report's 2012 Edition of Best Colleges

Old Westbury, NY – For the 14th consecutive year, NYIT is ranked as a top university in the north by U.S. News & World Report.

The rankings compare accredited four-year colleges and universities based on a set of up to 16 indicators of excellence.

Among the factors weighed are peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, and financial resources.

The rankings were announced today at www.usnews.com/colleges, and will be published in the 2012 Best Colleges guidebook.
