News Byte: President Foley Recognized Among Top Business Leaders in Nassau

March 15, 2022

New York Tech President Hank Foley, Ph.D., has been named one of Blank Slate Media’s Top Business Leaders in Nassau County. Honorees are recognized for their creative thinking, innovation, vision, and for making a positive impact in their field.

President Foley is among a group of 48 presidents, CEOs, and leaders in business, education, health care, and community organizations across Nassau County.

“These business leaders are forward-thinking individuals who were able to successfully pivot and adapt to this new world to continue to serve their customers and clients,” said Steven Blank, president and publisher of Blank Slate Media. He also noted that the honorees are examples of how Nassau County can succeed in difficult times, referring to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“While strategy is crucial, culture dominates,” said President Foley. “Part of any strategy that requires change must also manage cultural resistance to change. This is true of any enterprise seeking to adapt to the present while preparing for the future. Not only can culture overtake strategy, so, too, can fortune. One must consider fortune constantly—and, in view of that, constantly re-evaluate strategy.”
