Dr Norman Sveilich is a Graduate of University Health Sciences Kansas City Missouri with DO Degree. Internship Grandview Hospital, Dayton Ohio 1964. He was a Family Practioner in Miami, Florida from1965-1970. He did a 2-year residency in General Surgery Columbia Presbyterian Harlem Hospital from 1970-1972, followed by an Orthopedic Residency in Brooklyn Jewish-Kingsbrook Medical Center from 1972-1975. He is Orthopedic Board Certified both Osteopathic and Allopathic Orthopedics. Dr. Sveilich is a Fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgery as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He is also Boarded in the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice. He is practicing Osteopathic Medicine since 1965.

Dr. Sveilich is one of the Founding Members of NYCOM in 1977. He taught Orthopedics at NYCOM from 1977 to 1999..

Dr. Sveilich Started the Osteopathic Orthopedic Residency Program at Peninsula hospital Far Rockaway NY 1991 and remained its director until the hospital closed 2012 graduating 72 residents. Dr. Sveilich is founder and President of New York Osteopathic Orthopedic Residents Foundation dedicated to advancing the education of New York Osteopathic Orthopedic Residents.

Dr. Sveilich retired from Surgery October 2017 and remains active In Orthopedic Office Practice at Advanced Orthopedics and Precision Joint, Valley Stream NY.
