COVID, COVID go away. Come back another day. New York Tech wants to play!
The community may not be able to get together physically, but New York Tech’s Homecoming 2020 will go on as planned—virtually. Alumni, students, faculty, and staff can connect through a variety of online activities from October 19 through 25.
There will also be a number of opportunities throughout the week to support the Bear Bytes initiative, which provides students on the Long Island and New City York campuses with healthy food options as well as health and wellness support.
The New York Tech community is encouraged to donate canned goods or non-perishable items for the newly launched Grizzly Cupboard food pantry throughout the week. Collection times are:
- Long Island Campus (Student Activities Center, 2nd Floor)
Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- New York City Campus (26 W 61st St., M04)
Tuesday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The events listed below are open to all alumni, students, faculty, and staff. (Note: all times are listed are EST.)
The Virtual 5K Walk/Run/Bike/Swim encourages physical activity and friendly competition in a socially-distanced environment. Your $15 registration fee will directly benefit Bear Bytes. All participants will also receive a commemorative participation medal. Additional swag items will be awarded to the top finishers in six categories as well as for your activity on social media. Times will be accepted from noon on October 19 to 5 p.m. on October 24. Winners will be announced on Facebook Live on October 25.
