Cybersecurity Tips for Digital Nomads to Protect Data

Michael Nizich, Ph.D., adjunct associate professor of computer science and director of the Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center, is featured in a CNET article about protecting data and personal privacy when connected to public WiFi networks.

Nizich explains that when users connect to public WiFi, “you’re choosing to be as vulnerable as you could possibly be.” He recommends using a virtual private network (VPN) to keep internet connection secure no matter where you are.

“The [VPN] technology is actually really strong today,” he says.
