Students Make a Splash in Vancouver

July 7, 2017

On a bright and sunny June day, 21 students from NYIT-Vancouver went on a two-hour guided tour in the Deep Cove area of North Vancouver. They were accompanied by two student assistants from Campus Life and Logan Lorenz, academic support coordinator.

The tour began as the group headed out of the cove. They paddled their way past Grey Rocks Island and then looped around Boulder Island before heading back to the cove. Along the way, they saw the beautiful landscape of North Vancouver. Lorenz said the group had an enjoyable day, and he was happy to report that no kayaks overturned, “although some students managed to get pretty wet, for intentional (splashing to cool down) and unintentional (choppy paddling) reasons.”
