Allison DeTurris| December 1, 2023

Herald Community Newspapers has named New York Tech President Hank Foley, Ph.D., as one of their Herald 2023 Top Chief Officers of Long Island. The award recognizes impactful and visionary leaders, highlighting and celebrating the critical role that chief officers play in shaping the success and future of their organizations and the Long Island economy.

President Foley is one of seven university presidents awarded in the Education category and 56 professionals honored at the Herald 2023 Top Chief Officers Awards Gala hosted at the Heritage Club at Bethpage on November 29.

“Recognizing business leaders on Long Island is not just about acknowledging their successes. It’s about celebrating the driving force behind our local economy, and the innovation that shapes our community’s future,” says Amy Amato, executive director of Herald’s events division. “We are thrilled to honor these individuals who have served as architects of the Long Island economy.”

Earlier this year, President Foley was also named to City & State New York’s Higher Education Power 100 list and to PoliticsNY’s Power Players in Education for his commitment to excellence in higher education.
