Annual Big Give Breaks Record

This year marks the Big Give’s fifth anniversary. And the New York Tech community celebrated in a big way, bringing in $415,915 from 939 donors.

Student Profile: Jonan Manzi

After injuring his knee playing soccer, Jonan Manzi turned to electrical and computer engineering technology. He left his home in Rwanda to attend New York Tech, where he’s pursuing his bachelor’s degree and paying it forward as a peer tutor and student ambassador.

Wisser Building is Renamed

At a dedication ceremony on June 20, the Wisser building on the Long Island campus was officially renamed the Peter and Barbara Ferentinos Health Science Building, honoring the building’s namesakes for their continued support of New York Tech.

New York Tech Faculty Receive $470K in Research Grants

The National Institutes of Health awarded Associate Professor Shenglong Zhang, Ph.D., $350,000 to unlock mysteries in RNA sequencing, and Assistant Professor Sophia Domokos, Ph.D., received $120,000 from the National Science Foundation to advance research in particle physics.
